🌙 Dinner Hall – The Empty Seat

The dining hall glimmered under the warm glow of chandeliers, the long mahogany table laid with polished silverware and steaming dishes. The Rathoure family had gathered for dinner, a routine of politeness and etiquette filling the air.

Yet one seat was glaringly empty. Innaya's absence was palpable, a subtle ache in the otherwise orderly room.

Kabir looked around, concern furrowing his brow.
Kabir (softly):
"Where's Innaya? She usually comes down by now."

Myra kept her voice calm, her smile gentle but practiced.
Myra:
"She's not feeling well. She said she'll join later."

Her hands rested lightly on the table, but the tremor in her fingers betrayed the worry that weighed on her. She glanced once more toward the empty chair, her heart tightening, as though she already knew the truth.

The meal went on, polite conversation covering the silence of the missing girl. But beneath the glittering chandeliers, unease simmered quietly.

🌆 Rathoure Mansion – The Instagram Discovery Intensifies 🌆

The living room was quiet. The elders were out, and the Rathoure boys—Eshan, Zayan, Aayan, Rudra, and Kabir—were lounging on the sofas, idly scrolling on their phones.

Kabir suddenly sat up, eyes wide, voice shaking with excitement and disbelief:
Kabir:
"Guys... you need to see this!"

All heads turned as Kabir swiped to Innaya's Instagram post. The video showed her at Malhotra Mansion, the room beautifully decorated. The Malhotra family surrounded her, laughing and clapping. Ved stood proudly with a cake in his hands, smiling warmly, while everyone sang "Happy Birthday" in unison.

Innaya's face glowed—her laughter pure, her joy unguarded.

Eshan's jaw dropped, irritation flashing in his eyes.
Eshan (furious):
"She's... smiling... laughing... like this is her home? And look at them—singing for her! At her birthday! At Malhotra Mansion!"

Zayan's fists clenched on the armrest, his voice sharp with venom.
Zayan:
"Seriously... who does she think she is? We're here, and she's just... thriving somewhere else? Didn't even bother telling us?"

Aayan leaned forward, bitterness twisting his tone.
Aayan:
"Ved holding her cake... everyone cheering. And we sit here like fools. It's humiliating."

Rudra didn't need to speak—his icy glare at the screen said enough, his silence darker than words.

Kabir muttered nervously, still stunned.
Kabir (softly):
"She looks so happy... but why with them? Why not here?"

Eshan slammed his palm on the table, pacing with fury.
Eshan:
"She's showing us! That she doesn't need Rathoure Mansion. That she's better off without us. Laughing, smiling—enjoying them! This is infuriating!"

Zayan leaned back, his voice low and dangerous.
Zayan:
"She's supposed to belong here. With us. Not flaunt herself as theirs. That's betrayal."

Aayan scoffed, bitterness dripping.
Aayan:
"And Ved... always next to her. Holding her cake, her hand almost touching his—she allows that? She should be proving herself here, not making us look like strangers."

Kabir shifted uncomfortably, but his voice was drowned out by their anger.
Kabir (hesitant):
"Guys... maybe we're overthinking... it's her birthday—"

Eshan (cutting in, growling):
"No, Kabir. This isn't just a birthday. This is her declaration. She's saying she doesn't need us."

Finally, Rudra spoke—his words low, icy, and haunting.
Rudra:
"She's thriving there... and it makes me sick. Because there's nothing we can do. Nothing."

The boys sat back, their faces dark with jealousy, eyes burning holes into the glowing screen. Innaya's laughter, the clapping, the cake—each sound was like salt in a wound. The Rathoure sons didn't speak further, but the storm of possessiveness, anger, and envy had already taken root, heavy and unshakable.

🌌 The Birthday Revelation – Jealousy in the Lounge 🌌

The Rathoure boys sat in tense silence, their eyes glued to Kabir's phone, replaying Innaya's cheerful Instagram post. The Malhotra family's laughter and the cake had fueled a storm of jealousy inside the lounge.

Just then, Myra walked in quietly, carrying a tray with tea. Her presence instantly commanded attention. Kabir perked up immediately, pointing toward her.

Kabir (curious, leaning forward):
"Myra... today is Innaya's birthday, right?"

All the boys stiffened, straining to catch every word, their ears perking up at the word "birthday."

Myra smiled softly, her calm voice cutting through the tension:
"Yes... it is her birthday today."

Eshan's jaw tightened, fists clenching on the sofa.
"So... all that celebration... she's celebrating with the Malhotras?"

Myra nodded, serene and composed.
"Yes. Ved wanted to surprise her, and she enjoyed it. Don't worry—she's safe and well cared for."

Zayan's voice was low, sharp, dripping with jealousy:
"Safe? That's not the point. She's laughing, smiling... enjoying everyone else's attention. Not ours."

Aayan leaned forward, eyes narrowing, bitterness in his tone.
"She's showing us... that she can be happy without Rathoure Mansion. That's... irritating."

Rudra's cold gaze stayed fixed on Myra, the quiet fury in his expression obvious.
"She's thriving there... and we can't do anything. It's... maddening."

Kabir, trying to remain neutral, spoke again:
"She's our family too. But I can't deny... she looks happy. That's all that matters, right?"

Eshan huffed, slumping back but still glaring at the phone:
"Right... but it still burns. She's enjoying a birthday without us, without seeing our faces, without acknowledging we exist here. Ugh!"

Myra set the tray down carefully, her voice gentle but firm:
"Boys... jealousy won't help. She's safe, she's happy, and she'll return for the reception. Trust me—Innaya knows where her home is, and she knows who loves her. This anger, this envy, it won't change a thing."

The boys fell silent, each struggling with the mix of jealousy and concern. Even Kabir, usually the most playful, glanced at the screen and muttered softly,
"She's... thriving there. But I hate that we're not part of it."

Myra gave a small, knowing smile and left the lounge, her calm presence leaving a gentle order behind. The boys exchanged glances, their envy still simmering, their minds buzzing with frustration and thoughts of how Innaya could be enjoying her birthday without them.
And thennnnn???
